The place had Tesla fast charging stations.

The place had Tesla fast charging stations. The property was old but clean. The carpet could use a deep clean. The room had a balcony with a table and some chairs great for drinking with friends or just hang out and relax while looking out the river. The room was really big and spacious with a ref, stove top, coffee maker and some cooking and serving utensils. Actually the property was decent but with no cellular coverage (Tmobile), wifi should have been readily available. Here you have to pay through a 3rd party. Sad! So it’s not great for virtual meetings and stuff.

The location and staff were excellent!!

The location and staff were excellent!! The room was clean, the amenities were great as well, the only problem was our TV. Maintenance couldn’t fix it so they gave us the internet for the TV the first night to remedy the situation which was amazing but not the second night which put a damper on things with no Tv to relax the second night.

The hotel location was good and near to Yosemite.

The hotel location was good and near to Yosemite. The room was good. The Pizza restaurant was good. We didn't like having to book room service (towels etc and coffee for room) on a daily basis. In our opinion is a throwback to Covid pandemic days, as a management policy to save money not support the customer.

Close to Yosemite park entrance, just a short drive. Mildly wild river behind the hotel is great. We ate mostly in Yosemite park (very nice dinner at Yosemite Valley Lodge Mountain Dining Room and a great lunch at Ahwahnee hotel bar).

Stunning location with great views. Times quoted for fitness room and swimming opening did not happen. Rooms spacious with good facilities but all looked rather shabby and dated. Rooms need a makeover. Balcony view was amazing.

You stay here for proximity to the 140 entrance to Yosemite National Park. It's about a 15-minute drive from the hotel into the valley and an hour and fifteen to Tuolumne Meadows along Tioga Pass. The Merced River flows right behind the hotel and that's honestly very beautiful. There is a Chevron across the street and the closest gas station, and that is convenient. There is a glass stove plate and a microwave and some utensils that would make it a good place for people who want to do a small amount of cooking.

The location of the hotel is great - we have reached the Yosemite National Park with our car within a couple of minutes from there. To avoid any bear-attacks, we didn't leave anything in the car, and as there were elevators, it was easy to carry our luggage into our room. The receptionist was quite nice and gave us useful tips. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast there with a varied buffet and an attentive service. The view and the area were beautiful, as well as the road there.

With the hotel being quiet mid-week, before a storm, I was treated to an unexpected upgrade, so that made my stay extra comfy and worth the 10 extra minutes out of El Portal, for my Yosemite visit. Quite peaceful there and while I've stayed multiple times through the years, I've yet to go across the street to check out the river path. Having a micro and fridge makes all the difference when there are few services in the area. I did pay for wi-fi, which worked fine.

The Lodge is a only couple of miles away to the park gates nearest to Yosemite Valley. The scenic drive from Mariposa to El Portal was an added bonus. The property was clean & well kept + our room was plenty big enough for 3 people & a dog. We particularly liked the indoor pool being open and there was some lovely spots to just sit and relax. It was a relief that the shop was so well stocked. The staff were very helpful and efficient.

Clean, basic, easy check-in at Cedar Lodge. Hot tub is fantastic. Festoon lights are a nice touch. One car space. Located OUTSIDE Yosemite NP, it can be a quick 30 minute drive to the entry gate if you leave early each day (between 6am & 8am). One day we left at 10.15am and it took a full 3 hours in a crawling queue of traffic just to reach the park gate. This was late May, Memorial Day weekend. Big fridge/freezer.

The view of the river was beyond gorgeous and so peaceful to hear all day and night. The fireplace was a perfect touch and the location to Yosemite was perfect! We were practically right at the entrance to the park. The pizza from the hotel restaurant was delicious it was a great way to end 2021 I can’t wait to go back again

This hotel is all about location - one of the closest to the entrance to Yosemite National Park. Probably about 30 minutes or less. It is pricey because of the location and it's a no frills hotel - older rooms, few updates; our sink was leaking. But, they do have an indoor pool which is wonderful after a hike.

This property is in a great location for Yosemite National Park. The room was clean and comfortable. Food in the bar was absolutely fine. There is a little shop off the reception where you can get simple groceries. Or there is another store about 4 miles up the road towards the park. You can get fuel there too.

Room had a balcony with a nice view of the river that runs out of Yosemite and right behind the hotel. They have 2 restaurants on site, and a pretty well stocked convenience store in the lobby area. This is important because you are miles away from anything else.

This is the nearest hotel to the Yosemite park entrance, so that's a big plus. Also, the balcony is right above the Merced river, great view of the river, and very nice to hear the sound of water from the room. The rooms are very large.
