Loved the location. Terrific views of the lake and island. Pool club across from the Locanda offered even better views and was not at all crowded (probably is during the summer months). Restaurant at the Locanda was good and had terrace seating with views of the lake.

Sulzano is a magical place nestled between the lake and mountains. Tourists can enjoy the beauty of the Lake Iseo. The water is crystal clear. The view over the lake is absolutely breathtaking. It’s a wonderful starting point for trekking the ancient Valerian Road or hiking the mountains. There are regular ferries to Monte Isola, the largest lake island in Europe. Sulzano is definitely worth a visit.

Very convenient location for taking ferry to Monte Isola-- 2 minute ride. Also, convenient for cycling north to Vellow & around to the western side. Rivalago hotel was a wonderful place to stay & dine. Tourist Info office very helpful with suggested biking routes & ferry schedules for various towns around the lake. Local biking shop near the ferry very friendly, only 15 euro for daily bike rental. Great staff & sunset views at Il Cacciatore Restaurant. Also, loved the food at Rivalago Hotel. Overall found very limited restaurant choices in Sulzano & no boutiques. Loved our 1st visit to the lake, but next time will stay somewhere with more dining & shopping options

Sulzano is a brilliant place to stay, with spectacular...
Sulzano is a brilliant place to stay, with spectacular scenery, friendly people, and plenty to explore. A short train trip to Iseo and then brief walk brought us to Torbiere del Sebino nature reserve. We also jumped on the regular ferry across to Monte Isola, and climbed up for the marvellous view. The weather in September was gorgeous, and the beautiful butterflies, lizards, and other local wildlife kept us fascinated all week long.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The room we had was not with a lake view but had a big balcony looking at the parking lot and was still good. To note: the great view comes at a price as it is quite a steep walk up to get there. We were with just a backpack so it was fine. The appartment is located in the old house of the harbour mastor, is furnished with attention to detail and has all necessary equipment. Davide is a lovely host and always available to give support or advice. I was given the studio on the second floor that so nice, spacious, with a view to the lake and Monte Isola.
